Governor DeSantis signed SB 100 “Highway Projects” into law. The good news is that one proposed road has been eliminated; the bad news is that the other two proposed roads remain.  In total, the Governor’s action falls woefully short of eliminating the original M-CORES threat and realizing the transportation needs of Florida.

While SB 100 does remove the imminent threat of the Southwest-Central Connector, the Northern Turnpike extension from Sumter to Citrus County and new road construction along US-19 north from the terminus of the Suncoast Parkway to I-10 are still on the books and must be stopped.
